This is a special microlot exhibiting some really interesting beans boasting juicy flavours of Cherry cola, jasmine, cacao nibs and plum.
This bold and funky bean sits in the lovely intersection of wild and subtle. It is expressive on the nose and distinctly sweet without being syruppy or overly whacky.
The anaerobic natural process involves soaking the cherries in oxygen deprived tanks for extended periods of up to 65 hours before being dried on raised beds in the sun. The result is the breakdown of complex sugars and development of funky, boozy notes.
The Halo Beriti is an example of a typical washing station in ethiopia where groups of smallholders take their coffee to be processed before being sold on at fair trade prices. This coffee is from the Gedeb district of the Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia.
The beran vairetals are considered heirloom as they are the native varietals found in typical "field blends".
