A light and clean cup with orange and lemon citrus nose. Blueberry sweets and dried fruits. Brewed as a filter brings out the best of this light roast but can be a really interesting light espresso.
Kericho county boasts some of the first coffee farms (originally planted by foreign settlers) in Kenya. Now Kericho is under-represented in global coffee production. Central Kenya hosts a range of large farms that make and export through large scale trades. Historically Kericho and Bomet farms worked within poorly-managed cooperatives that have been taken advantage of by coffee dealers due to their cheaper prices.
Now, Lot 20 (the coffee producer) is working to ensure fair and transparent trade for farmers in the region. Lot 20 are Kenyan producers, working with Kenyan farmers, farming and processing Kenyan beans to showcase the excellent flavour profiles of the region. Lot 20 work to ensure all farmers receive fair pay for the excellent product they make.
The beans are limited release and small batch due to the micro-lot style of farming.
